Most of my style posts have dealt with the subject of fashion and clothing. Which I love, don’t get me wrong. It’s just that I also love home decor, which happens to be my main profession. So I wanted to share with you guys a project I recently finished. It’s a project I really loved working on and now it’s finished.Yay!
The goal of this room was to find something that already worked with the existing colors of the room and joining bathroom- blush ceramic tub and sink and soft gray walls. It also needed to work with the colors of the rest of the house, which were a mix of neutral warm tones with rust and blue accents. This is the owner’s sewing room, so I wanted the space to have something whimsical and fun to keep inspiration flowing.
When I saw this fabric, I fell in love. It took a little longer for the owner however. She wasn’t convinced at first. Then, one day she called me and decided she was ready!
I wanted to make the treatment look custom, but not too fussy. That’s how I decided to make the drapes with a self attached valance and add a complimentary trim to the edge to show the layers.
I love the outcome of this project, and better yet, so does the homeowner!
Just a note for the local folks of Lafayette, LA. the fabric is from FABRIQUES.
I LOVE THESE CURTAINS!!!
Thank you! I really like them too. I was a little jealous after installing them, I wanted a pair for myself.
