I know most people find the start of the new year to be exciting. It’s like a clean slate, or something like that. I am not one of those people. Personally, I find it to be a little bit daunting and overwhelming, like there’s pressure to make the year ahead spectacular. It’s probably the perfectionist in me…
2014 was an amazing year for me. How am I suppose to make 2015 better? Or am I even suppose to try?
In this past year a lot of amazing things have happened. Professionally – I took on larger projects and felt more confident in my abilities. I started this blog, which has been a bigger project than I thought it would be, but a lot more fun than I thought it would be as well! Personally – I got engaged. AND then I decided to go ahead and get married within a month. *Note- I would not necessarily recommend this time frame for everyone*
Why or how would I go bigger next year?
Over the past few days I have been thinking about what I want my goals for 2015 to be. In particular, what I want the blog to become.
I would like to include more home projects, some are already in the works! I definitely want to show more original clothing design pieces. That was the original point of me starting this blog. I wanted an outlet to share those creations. I actually have been working on a small project over the Christmas holidays. Yay for some semblance of productivity!
Overall, I think I want to enjoy 2015. I find myself in a wonderful part of life right now. I know things will be changing in my future, which is good, scary, but good. So far now, I want to enjoy the good and calm of the present. Embrace the now! As I typed that, I heard a little bit of Liz Lemon’s voice in my head “Say YES! to life”
As for the picture. That has no relevance to this post. It’s just a new pair of shoes I got for Christmas. Thanks, David 🙂 Nobody in my family seemed to like them, but oh well, I think they are fantastic.
Here’s to 2015! Hopefully, we all make it count.
I love this! And I think your plans for the year are perfect. Enjoying it is so important!
And I can’t wait to hear all about the wedding. 🙂 🙂
Thanks! I have found I tend to miss really enjoyable things because I get too caught up in the stress and worrying of everyday. We’ll see how the more laid back me goes… HA!
LOL! I am trying to do more yoga and meditation for that very goal. Good luck to you!
Great blog! I love these shoes!
